We at TWOOBS think that an epic feed and a killer pair of shoes are the secret to a happy life. So, for ‘strictly research purposes’... we’ve eaten one end of Melbourne to the other in search of our favourite vegan dishes. Whether you’re a local looking for a new joint, or visiting Melbourne and not wanting to waste a meal, we’ve taken the guesswork out for you and found the best vegan eats in town.
What: Avignon Apple Pancakes
Why we love it: Everybody loves a good pancake, and the raw cinnamon ice-cream on these ones makes them taste exactly like an apple pie. They’re light and fluffy with the perfect amount of fruity crunch. Yum!

What: Acai Bowl 3
Why we love it: Ok, this one is without a doubt the BEST acai bowl you will get in Melbourne. TWOOBS HQ gets more deliveries from here than online shopping, and that’s saying something. We love number 3 the most because it has peanut butter on top.

What: Smoked BBQ Cauliflower Toastie
Why we love it: Packed with some serious flavour, this toastie has cauliflower and super soft melty cheese and is served with pickles and sriracha. We think it’s the perfect cure for a dusty sunday morning!

What: Stir Fry of Wagyu Beef & Cauliflower W. Sichuan Pepper & Chillis (order it without the beef, obvs!)
Why we love it: This stir fry tastes like a party in your mouth and we are addicted. We love how it’s sweet but spicy all at the same time.

What: The Vegan Burger
Why we love it: If you’re craving a big juicy burger, look no further than Leonard’s. We recommend ordering potato gems on the side for a guaranteed food-coma.

What: The Fun Guy Mushroom Pizza (add vegan cheese, trust us)
Why we love it: Even our non-vegan friends jump at this one, we think it’s the greatest pizza on the planet! They have the best vegan cheese in town and thankfully, they’re generous with it. It’s so cheesy and delicious, you seriously will not believe its vegan.

What: Chocolate Sorbet
Why we love it: Ok so chocolate kind of sells itself, but we think Messina’s super decadent vegan version is even better than their regular chocolate flavour. Our tip is to pair it with Pandan & Coconut for the most amazing chocolatey coconutty combo.

What: Chocolate Souffle
Why we love it: It’s hard to fit in dessert after the best middle eastern meal of your life but… that’s what dessert stomachs were made for, right? This bad boy is rich and gooey served with chunks of vanilla halva and topped with halva fairy floss. Need we say more?
